Array ( [sid] => 12044 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Your Everlasting Light [time] => 2003-02-06 10:30:00 [hometext] => I wrote this for my Grandmother on her birthday to show her how much I appreciate her. She is a very headstrong woman, and has managed to keep her family together after the loss of my Grandfather. [bodytext] => With a very vibrant sense of hope
you help replenish my weary soul
Through your visions of the heavens
help enlighten my every sacred goal
You can symbolize the compassion
that everyone's heart has to give
For without your everlasting light
I'd surely not have a good life to live
The precious gift of which is sight
you empowered my eyes to behold
When I was in need of comforting
provided my shelter form the cold
At times your beauty overwhelms
yet never reflects dimly on the past
You possess a certain exuberance
to conquer every shadow that is cast
As you brighten every path I follow
my horizons will never be concealed
With the love you bestow upon me
my future is further more revealed
Your presence has always been bold
I know it will never fade away or die
For you are the light that guides me
on my journey toward the infinite sky [comments] => 8 [counter] => 198 [topic] => 19 [informant] => ManowarManiac [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => InspirationalPoems )

Thanx, I actually got on my computer and was able to put the poem to a nice background and print it out, I put it in a frame and gave it to her as her birthday gift. I am sure she will treasure it forever.
