I've "let you go" a thousand times.
Drank my words, and drowned my tears with alibi's.
Cruel mistakes that lets me love no longer.
But still i'll always have that hunger.
Secrets held deep within, and always will, and always has been.
You will no longer see this this girl cry out to you.
But that doesn't mean I'm completely over you.
In my journal, thoughts held time to time.
Some of you, some will shine.
My masterpiece I'm so proud of, holds all my thoughts
and all my love.
Lie and rest I tell myself, cause you will never come
around to me.
So I'm finally going to let you be.
Sing a little whisper,
Sing a little song,
Sing a little tune about me, just once..
Please, before your life's done.

How hard is it to say goodbye? Extremely!! My heart walked along with me as I read your poem, and felt it's words oh so real. I'm right now going through this very phase of pain that you must have been feeling 3 years ago. God Bless...... |
