Lying awake in the hush of the night
I move in closer, holding on tight
Clearing my mind of the clutter of day
I listen intently
For what you might say

And you… whisper gently to me
Telling me then of a most precious dream
As you pull me still closer to you
Breathing out words
Meant just for us two

The night is breaking,
A new dawn awaits
My heart is aching
But I’m feeling safe
Wrapped in your arms
Filled with the belief
That all that you are
Is all that I need

Lying together, there in the dark
Revealing ourselves and speaking our hearts
Your words embrace me and take me away
But I struggle to find
The right words to say

So I… whisper softly to you
Trying to express a love that is true
My words can't compare to what you have said
As we lie there together
Safe in our bed

The night has broken
The dawn is now here
I’ve barely spoken
But still, you hear
Half spoken whispers
Are all that you need
The words you decipher
When you kiss me

Lying together, in the new morning light
Awash in our passion and holding on tight
Speaking wordlessly with every touch
I tell you through silence
I’ve never loved you so much

As we… whispering with each caress
Intimately then, to each other confess
Foregoing words as they cannot convey
All of the things that
We are longing to say

The night has ended
And dawn has arrived
We lie, as intended
At each other’s side
As I sigh quietly
A new day begins
And understanding exactly

You kiss me
again

OMG!!! This is so incredibly sensual. Awesome, beautiful, inspiring, flowing, and such sweet tasteful love poem. Sensuality can speak a myriad of emotions to the hearts and you have done it perfectly.

Whoever this is about sure is a lucky guy. :-)

Thank you for letting the chicken out of the coup and sharing this with us. ;-)

This is beautifully written and stirs the heart and soul deeply. There are times like this when words are just not needed. Just to be there and engage in communication on another level all together. "Speaking wordlessly with every touch" says it so perfectly. Speaking without words can convey all one needs to say and all one needs to hear:
"Foregoing words as they cannot convey
All of the things that
We are longing to say" These words written here are truly precious things; you have woven them to convey the warmth and magic of the moment. Congratulations on another masterpiece!
Butch

This is the first of your work i've read it won't be the last, a most beautiful peice of writting.
If i may suggest never be ashamed or feel u need 2 explain work as beautiful as this, as 4 using rhymes? well, as i said u need not explain. A beautiful style and presentation is what i see and the heart says the rest.

Obvious rhymes....lol ya know my friend, it isnt the rhymes, obvious or not, that make the write...its all the words preceeding them that slip into the heart and soul of the reader.....
and all your words were soft, tender, and wonderful.

I loved this. It's like an old love song that plays in the mind over and over again.

Beautifully done

Snemmy , this was breathtakingly beautiful. It spoke profoundly to me. ..

I am at a loss to express just how soft and gentle and so positively
sensuous this piece really is. It speaks of a profound love.
A-love-that-I-have-waited-my-whole-life-for, kinda love.

How completely perfect. This night. I should hope to have a night
such as this ... sooner than later ...

Amazing emotion here.. in these words ..

~Breezy

Sometimes the obvious rhymes work best, and this poem shows that. It flows and is so Real, if that makes sense.
Good Poem
