This is my meadow,
my Ash Tree meadow.
This is me dwelling
through my meadow
amidst my Ash Trees.

This is me lying in
the shadow of my Ash Trees,
laying on a bed
of ashen leaves.

This is me indulging
on my samara,
sacred fruit of my ash tree.

This is you,
wondering why I’m always high-
never low,
no motivation for irritation.

This is me,
smiling at you,
handing you some samara
and saying:
wanna join me?

This is you taking some samara.
This is you understanding
the origin of my happiness.

Firstoff, thanks for reading my poem, hope you enjoyed it.

I wrote this as a kind of celebration of me and my name, Ashley.
My name means dweller in the Ash Tree meadow, and the samara is the fruit of this tree.

Hmm. A highly poetic idea; lyrical in a way that English poetry rarely is.
