Push open French doors to a garden-dream, a captivating haze
Smells of bacon frying, watching daffodils by the gentle stream
My yesterdays, of pain and woe, have vanished as in a dream

Guess I didn’t think the Cross effectual, to carry me so far
Here’s to the Bright-&-Morning, Thou glorious brilliant Star
Peace now encompasses this garden, and all I do and say
Peace ‘sweet Peace’ my companion, forever and always

In my new heart-felt home, life is as sweet as a baby’s smile
Springtime Honeysuckle vine all along the fence, for awhile
A permeating fragrance makes this summer breeze so sweet
You can hear the songbirds’ praise~ to Victory’s freedom beat

And from a distant hillside the eagle spreads wings to fly
At last my life’s in harmony as the stream flows ever by
This morning glory of life’s new morn, seems to be so real
Since yielding to the Son, just seems I woke up in surreal

Every now and then, I come upon a genuine poet. You are one. Have you ever read Elizabeth Dandy?
