By: Warren A. Douglas

Now I see her standing there,
The sunlight bathes her golden hair,
A hint of sadness in her eyes,
Eyes as lovely as the skies.

Every time I see her face,
I briskly quicken my slow pace,
So ever faster I grow near,
to the one I hold so dear.

I see her looking so forlorn,
And instantly my heart is torn,
I cannot bring myself to smile,
Until she’s happy after while.

And though our lives are passing fast,
I know the memories will last,
Finding ways to make her see,
She is the only one for me.

I never really thought as such,
That I could love someone this much,
An angel sent from up above,
This is about the girl I love.

The sad thing about this is, the girl I wrote this for likes my best friend who, in a bizarre twist of fate, is also my younger cousin. I'm not too worried(okay, I lied I kind of am), but he already has a girlfriend who he's thinking of proposing to.
I'm just glad I'm not emo, or I could be dead right now.
