I never will forget that look upon your face
As you just turned and left without a trace
I know you had to leave us all to be free
And I could cry if only you would come back to be with me
please..

I guess that i was blind to your pain
Thinking it would never happen
Wouldn't ever have to play that game

I know that it's love when its only my heart you can hear
I know you had to go away, its starting to become clear

Just want you to know that when you left
a part of me died
yet another blossomed

Im no longer the girl you knew
The tears i shed are fragments of the child you once held so close
Yet every tear is for you.

This is a very sweet write and certainly a fitting tribute to your grandfather. I'm very sorry for your loss. I know it's hard, but it's good you're turning a negative into a positive. :-)
Nice work.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
