Unable to sleep.
Everytime I close my eyes,
I see your face,
Everytime I try to sleep,
I hear your voice.

Low I cannot sleep,
I would not change this,
Not for the world.
For this way I can still
Be with you.
You are gone,
But I still have memories of you.

I can still see your face,
Hear your voice,
Feel your touch,
Remember your warmth.

These memories and dreams
Are all I have of you,
For you are gone,
Out of my life.

I have had my share of women,
One night stands and empty promises.
But none compare to being with you,
For you are my one love,
The one I live for,
The one I die for.

Now I finally fall asleep,
Dreaming my dreams,
Wishing,
Waiting,
For the day,
When I can see you,
When I can be with you,
One more time. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 172 [topic] => 32 [informant] => EddieDean [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

I can truly relate to this; having recently written something similar myself. Actually, that's merely a coincidence as I would be able to relate to it any ol' way. :-) I really found this enjoyable. It is very nice. Yes it tis sad but still there has to be a glimmer of happiness writing of wonderful true love remembered. Very beautifully written.

Thanks,

Tim

Truly heartfelt poem.

I think every one of us has once been through this or something similar. I know I have!

Very beautiful...
