When sea levels rise
When records are destroyed
And history forgotten

Will I be remembered
By family or Friends
By Colleagues and employers
When I take my last

Will grandchildren speak of me
In years to come
And my name become legend
To those to whom I am ancestral

Or will they never speak of me
After moss and wind
Take my headstone words away
In some overgrown and forgotten churchyard

Will they have some blurred
Memory of an old man
Never seen for years
They can't quite put a name to

Will I have made my mark before
I breathe my last
As my line runs to the end
Will I leave a notch on the post

What can I do?
Feed the poor
Clothe the destitute
Or just stay in a little office job

Will I change nation and
Destroy evil
Or just win
Employee of the month

Will you know me in a hundred
Years or a thousad
Will you know me tommorow
Do you know me know

You will be remembered by family and friends, when your kind you leave good memories, even miseries leave bad ones but best to be remembered for good you have done and been loved..My dad buried a little box very deep in his garden he never said what was in it, but I think it was to make sure future generations may remember him lol.

I am sure you will be..by loved ones... many, many years after you're gone. Lovely write...
You will also live on through your poetry...
I once wrote a similar poem called "How Will I Be Remembered?" Maybe I'll post it soon..
