To keep at bay the pains of those, who pretend they love with all
She strolled the wooded pathways of a forest known not of
With nature her perfect suitor, still she craved a flesh bound love
The dance of celtic history ever present in her steps
Took her further into woodlands where romantic thoughts were kept
There hidden in the rushes by a stream of crystal blue
Was a diary full of hopes and dreams, essence of heart so true
She would sit in mornings' sunlight, penning out her wishes
Pausing every now and then to pretend she felt the kisses
Pouring soft upon silken skin, resting on her lips
She would lie upon the river bank, remaining so like this
Gazing into the early sky, searching through the clouds
Imagining how love would feel,if her heart would merely allow
Just one taste of pleasures wine,a tender warm embrace
To feel the breath of a lovers sighs, warm against her face
Her heart now echoing sadness, and with eyes beholding sorrow
She returns her diary to safekeeping until the dawning of her 'morrow
As she turns in morning's glory,to dance her way back home
A shadow falls across her, then she knows she's not alone
For but a moment she is frozen, unable to react
As the fortress she had built seems to have crumbled in attack
Who is this man before her,why does he stare just so
Then as he moves a liitle closer, the meaning starts to show
His voice so soothing to her, filled with sofisticated charm
She should fear this lonesome stranger, instead she senses no real harm
He bows before her gracefully, and with dreamy astral eyes
Gazes into her pools of blue, she is moved and her heart cries
Requesting no more than directions for somewhere warm to stay
Then tells her when the morn' arrives,he'll be on his way
He explains about his life long quest,a journey of his heart
To find the love he's dreamed about, for they've been too long apart
She speaks not a word but beckons, as she leads him through the trees
He follows in her beauty, her perfume on the breeze
Once settled in his quarters,he beds down for the night
While in the room above, she prays in candlelight
Please lead him to his lady, the one who holds his heart
Embrace them with your kindness,so that life for them may start
As he's dreaming, send him signs of hope, show this man the way
Lighten his steps and bring her closer, before the end of his day
Thankyou LORD for listening, and too I've one request
Please open the heart that is so scared, the one beneath this breast
In the dawn's new light, she awakens,to sweet whistlings of the birds
She lies there sighing and recalling the strangers heartfelt words
If GOD did hear her plea last night,if fate should find a way
Then both her and this new stranger will find their loves one day
So silent is her breathing and yet she does not hear
The footsteps on her bedroom floor, until they are quite near
She turns with startled heart to see beside her bed
The stranger there before her, with a rose of scarlet red
On bended knee he whispers,I come with offerings for you
Please take this rose my darling,a symbol of love so true
I dreamt last night of my lady, the one whom I must find
And twas like some heavenly light came down, and gave to me a sign
I saw her in a forest,by a stream of crystal blue
She had hair of golden ringlets and her fragrance was of you
Captivated by her loveliness, and struck with dazzling awe
She was exquisite and enchanting, like I've known not before
I picked a rose in bloom,to place within her hands
And as I walked towards her,I awoke and here I stand
My love you are the lady, the one who holds my tender heart
Please say you'll take my hand today and together our life will start
She's overwhelmed with new emotions,a freedom to begin
