Two brave men trapped in an underground mine
Nearly eleven days now and are still doing fine
They are alive that is the main thing
Now the rescuers slowly drill forward to bring
-Todd and Brant to safety in their families arms
The whole nation is awaiting and trying to have no qualms
Imagine how you would be in the same situation
Just the thought of it sickens your imagination
The first few days no water- just a drip on the wall
they are in a cage luckily safe when the rocks did fall
The rescuers are nearly there they have made a piolet drill
to direct the rescue hole, for the blokes to crawl out of [if not too ill]
Finally they have had a small meal and an ipod to listen to
"Foo Fighters "is ones favorite and has plans to have a beer with Dave Grohi too!
So keep your prayers for these guys below they surely are tough guys
Sometime soon- HOPEFULLY-Saturday they will be drinking beer and eating meat pies!

~this poem is something that I just wanted to write, as Todd and Brant are on my mind ....
I pray to God that they will make it out soon....I think....I don't know these guys but my heart aches for them...just imagine how their families must feel....coni

Well, I certainly hope they make it out soon, and in two pieces (one each). That kind of thing happens, in the tough real world which we seem to grow more and more isolated from. Here's to those brave ones who still inhabit it.

Hi Coni, I know that they will make it out alive. God didn't keep them alive for 11 days for nothing. Keep faith. They will be reunited with their families soon.
Thank you for sharing this. Missed reading your work.
Hugs
Jenni

Gosh, I hadn't heard anything about this.

I hope they are out again soon, and in good shape, too.

A like this, it's a nice poem. I love the music part, and the bit about beer, it personalises the two people so that they are relatable.

Good write, and I'll pray for them both.

*hugs*

Just a bit of an update....
Brant and Todd are into there 12th day....the rescuers are hand digging the last part and it is 5 times harder than cement to pick through....so it might take longer than sooner than predicted..[this is the most dangerous stage as after all this time they do not want rocks to fall over again]..Brant and Todd are still being poitive even after all their patience....film crews and media alike plus Tasmanians plus many other countries are awaiting there release with positive minds...
*thought I would keep you posted incase you were all wondering how they are*...

After 14 days of being trapped in their 2 star ...cage....they are finally out! What elation to a wonderful miracle!
They came out the day the other mine worker Larry was tragically killed underground on Anzac Day's, funeral!
So glad it ended like a fairy tale....
thought I would disclose the story that has been on expecially the Australians but throughout the worlds minds too....

It must have been really hard for their fallen mate..

Yes, scary.. anyway would not catch me in a gold mine..

you know.. God may have taken their brother.. he also saved those two men ... God has His reasons.. I am sure if they had no faith, they sure have it now... hugs.. thank your for putting this information into a poem... hugs.. RL
