Array ( [sid] => 11930 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => A Door Shut [time] => 2003-02-04 18:20:00 [hometext] => I was just reminising over how some1 once made me feel. Funny thing he doesn't even give a damn anymore, but that was the aim after all. I'm just sorry it had to end like this. Our friendship would have been fantastic and fulfilling had it lasted...couldn't let it though. [bodytext] => A smile from him makes the world more colourful,
Destiny seems within my grasp.
That almost shy look, mouth soft and inviting...
Uncertain grin just twitching to be acknowledged.
Brown eyes that startled me with every glance.
That inexplicable sense of control he posesses.

The uncertainty of his thoughts reflected
Within those golden orbs.
His kindness to strangers...
The penetrating way he looked at me when
We were alone...
The precious serious expression that overtook him when he studied.
Nothing, no-one interrupted.

Hesitant whenever our eyes met,
He was distant one second and
Affectionate the next.
And when his hands slid possessively
Over my body...
All logic flew out the window.
I felt...wanted...things I shouldn't have.
All my cynicism vapourised...
I felt safe and cherished.
There was always this instinctual irrational need to comfort, protect and...
Just hold him close. Felt that he needed
Love...or something.
Where'd that come from?!
Who had hurt him before...?

I remember the night he howled at the moon
With me. For a moment in time
He dropped all reservation and
Became a kid again.
In that moment I saw what I wanted.
My own kids reflected in his eyes...
And it shocked the daylights outta me.

A new plan started forming...RUN!!!!
He was denting my armour.
Breaking it bit by bit...
But running seemed too juvenile.
Then it clicked...push tòó hard and
he'll
run........

And so my unconscious did its bidding.
It worked and now he's gone...
Clueless and relieved no doubt.
He's gone...And the feelings he evoked
Gone dormant again.
He'll stay away now...and hopefully
Find someone more deserving.
