As I lay gazing at her picture that sits torn here by my side,
No hunger for my body, just a hunger in my heart,
As I try to piece the picture, my world has fell apart,

No desire for the daylight, my days died upon these tears,
Without her I feel so empty, without her I live in fear,
Her subtle scent still lingers upon the pillow where she lay,
As I embrace her dying essence, in my heart I hope and pray,

I pray unto the heavens, asking god to hear my call,
And I hope that someone hears me way beyond these tainted walls,
Teardrops fall upon her pillow, that I cling too in my pain,
As I recollect the good times, her spirit surges through my vanes,

I yearn for her tender whisper, for her smile too warm my soul,
And her eyes that say she loves me, even when those words untold,
She is just a sacred shadow, a ghost that haunts my life,
Without her I seem to wither, in these tears I cry at night.
