MY FIRST LOVE

Feelings push through

Sitting and contemplating.

Past, future, and present

So much time instigating

Not intentional but unpleasant

A life of much to do

It’s enough for you

Still what is it

Anger or bliss?

So much time has gone by.

Decisions were made.

Why?

Must you give up on your first love?

Must you stop writing for a life above?

Misunderstandings;

It has to be,

For my first love is God;

And writing is his gift to me.

Some time we come to such a point of our life; a cross road; where we wake up and wonder which way to go. Here my poet friend is standing in one such cross road and trying to evaluate within, what to choose. The inner conflict is beautifully portrayed by the poet in this work.

spiritual conviction. Most lovely.
