Just to watch you sleep.
You looked so peaceful and sweet,
So lovely in the moonlight.
And I'd listen to your breaths,
Each and every little one...

But those breaths have turned to snores,
And they keep me up at night.
While you are soundly sleeping,
I hold the pillow over my ears.

But I still love you anyway.

I used to think that it was cute,
The way you'd kiss me all the time.
Your lips so soft and tender,
They fit mine in that perfect way.
And you never seemed to care,
That everyone was staring...

But now I think you kiss me,
Just to stop me from speaking.
I can hardly open my mouth,
Without you being there to close it.

But I still love you anyway.

I loved your bulging muscles,
And the way you'd show them off.
You could lift a full grown horse,
....if it didn't squirm a lot.
And I would proudly call you,
My knight in shining armor...

But now the only thing you lift,
Is your precious mug of ale,
Your armor's gotten rusty,
And your belly's gone to pot.

But I still love you anyway.

I was so enamoured with your laugh,
The way you'd liven up a room.
And the way that you'd start giggling,
And couldn't stop for hours.
I loved how you were full of life,
And could find the humor in anything...

But now I cringe when you chuckle,
And a guffaw just makes me cower.
You sound like a poor dying donkey,
Or a chicken laying an egg.

But I still love you anyway.

All those things that bug me,
That I didn't see before,
They don't really matter much,

Cause I still love you anyway.

And who else but you could love me too,
With all those annoying things I do.
I'm glad I've got you here with me,

And that you still love me anyway. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 332 [topic] => 7 [informant] => Sagess [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )
