I dream beneath the willow
of the moonlit fairies
Gazing softly at the mermaids' thrones
while I blindly skip my last wishing stones
I listen for the hammers of the ruddy ones
who worship the earth and mock the sun
I hear the siren's hypnotic tune
and grieve for a sailor's impending doom
I lie in the flowers of a lily sprite
and dance in the rythem of Luna's light
I hum the melodies the wood nymphs sing
and fly among the stars between unicorn wings
I give my praises to the Goddess orbs
and wear the symbol of witch's lore
I long for tales of destined glory
and the endless meanings of fairytale stories
I give my tears to Neptune's waves
and navigate the labyrinth maze
I choose to believe in things unseen
and carry that faith forever with me
Innocent are the eyes of a child
with an imagination that is fiercly wild [comments] => 3 [counter] => 238 [topic] => 40 [informant] => Aeicha [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => fantasy )

This is an outstanding imaginative piece. I love the way you have incorporated the mythological charachters into the poem! I also love the subject. Never lose the capacity for "childish dreaming." I have addressed this subject myself in "The Dreamtime." Great write!
