And wrapped yourself around my heart,
You woke me up with my own screams,
As you tore me apart.

And it's pounding here inside my mind,
Each time you bit in to my chest,
Venom is running through my veins,
I don't have too long left.

These tears may as well be blood,
I'm dying from your wounds,
I gave you nothing, except love,
But I gave it far too soon.

I'm dying here, within your grasp,
Your hold was far too tight,
I'm drowning in this poison,
From your deadly bite.

I feel the shock, it's setting in,
I couldn't see the deciet
Underneath your skin

But
You whispered hate into my dreams,
And wrapped yourself around my heart,
You woke me up with my own screams,
As you tore me apart.

And I am poisoned... [comments] => 8 [counter] => 343 [topic] => 65 [informant] => lostinmyself [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 19 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => toughstuff )

Oh Phill, huge hugs. Im so sorry your hurting. You captured much emotion in your poem, I feel it and I do understand. You know where to reach me if you need to talk. In life we seem to lose more than we gain at times specially in affairs of the heart, but those that do stay around are the gems of heart we keep for a lifetime.

hugsssssss
Michelle

Oh my my my Phillygirl!! There is much in this piece that you have addressed.
An incredible honest outpouring of the soul in such an amazingly talented write.
This was the most ingenius and clever analogy of deceit and misguided trust I've
yet to witness. You must feel a sense of release in writing this one, hun. The
troubled heart is a weary thing. I'm here always and forever for you. Know that -

I tremble each time I read this line . . .

"You woke me up with my own screams"

Bloody brilliant hun. Emotive in the most beautiful, horrible way.

*hugs you tight*

~Breezy

Amazing how when we give of ourselves we don't always recieve back what we expect, yet hopefully we will continue to keep giving, looking for oft we know not what, but the hope that it will make us happy....Keep giving Phyllis, it may be just around the corner.

I clicked on the title alone.. but how relevant this is .. I cannot say- though I feel your need to escape, and subsequent pain through this-

Love and peace to you Phil-
