Inspiring a mind to drive itself completely to reflection
A watchman, for Master’s vineyard, against the unclean ravens
Scary to the black plumages for croaking cries, not of heaven

Surely he has the angel with the ink-horn by his side, as a guide
Absorbed of ancient poets, watch as he leads a magic carpet ride
Heart of fire, passion of steel, cast upon the brazen wall, for real
If crimes are committed, imprison his quill, for his run away zeal

Who can resist the golden flow of word on parchment-net, keen
Projected chords of sound awaken many from dreamscape scene
His stately view paints imaginative and inspiring demonstrations

So, I read this as a tribute to one who's words I myself have come to greatly appreciate. I envy you, that you have managed what I have not, and paid such homage to a writer that is so obviously worthy of praise ... and in my opinion ... vastly under read. Well done Lily, if I am spot on ... Daniel will be moved. ( If I'm wrong ... I still think it is a fabulous tribute )

Stunning tribute. I too, [like nazzy], have come to respect and find
inspiration in the writings of Daniel. I totally agree he is immensely
underrated!!

I love the flow and rhythm of this piece. The second stanza is
amazing.

Admirably done!

A/LQ,

I'm out of the loop concerning this individual, but this magnificent tribute and those in the know's comments makes a powerful compel to go check him out. Unless we talkin' DanielSapelo who I checked out as master already? There are so many wordsmiths I met here that, though this may be a personal one to Daniel, there's a universal tribute to a bunch of ya in this poem. Great work, A/Lilly

I am at a complete loss. I regret that I have not seen this sooner, I feel like a jerk not responding to a tribute.

I am completely unworthy of any of this as it is. That is not me trying to play the humble card either. I honestly draw more inspiration from the likes of poets like you Milly and those that commented already. As well as many other poets here.

I can not express my gratitude for this very undeserved tribute. You made not my day, not my month, not my year, but my life. This is something striking in ways I cannot express. My vocabulary is stunned.

You are always a flowing clot in my veins. Your words never cease to stop the heart. I am so glad that you have joined us here, my old poetic friend. You have romanced me beyond.

Thank you so much and as always my thoughts and prayers are with me my angel quill.
