Of once upon a time,
Has been simply parched away
Just like my scarring heart

If in the morning I can see
A reason for this rhyme,
Perhaps aside my heart I’ll lay
And my pain will soon depart

Away your love has taken me
As if it were a crime;
Soon I’ll see a softer day
With love not torn apart

I realize this is about "lost" love, but there is a softness in this that can't
[or won't] be denied. It's so delicate in it's telling, that even though there
is veritable sadness in here, the reader can't help but heave a gentle sigh
of hope for the tomorrow of which the last stanza speaks. [ There is
that optimism that shines through in SO many of your writes. :-)]

Beautiful work. I love this one.

TOuched with sadness yet I can also read the hope that someday this love will return, nicely done.

you've invented some new composition with this-
though who's to say

I've never been known for haphazardly using words like: Incredible.. and brilliant.. but what else can one say on this-

I'll tentatively refer to this as an: A B C D composition..
the first for me..

your nonconformity is brilliant bro-
perhaps pioneering~

devoted fan.. truly-

I agree with ~*Roxie*~ You have done a fine job on this one ~*Paul*~ I know it's a lost love write, but your writings always have an inspiring sense of hope to them. You will find another who shall shower u with the love that u deserve my friend.
A wonderful write beautifully penned.

There's such sadness yet softeness to this write. You've expressed your feelings very well. Another one of lifes lessons. May happiness come your way, bringing nothing but sunshine and smiles. Very well written and understood...Gloria E.
