I will try to help you
The drugs you take;
They’re just not like you

I try to assist you
In the path you take
But of course now and then
You’ve made some mistakes

I hoped that you
Would learn from wrong;
Sadly mistaken,
You continued all along.
Even after
You had said you would stop
You make up a reason;
A scapegoat, that’s what.

I trusted the words
That you said
You tore that faith apart
And left but a thread

To break in the wind
Of your lies
That I believed
Leaving me deceived.

Since we are friends
I will try to help you
The drugs you take;
They’re just not like you

I try to assist you
In the path you take
But of course now and then
You’ve made some mistakes

I hoped that you
Would learn from wrong;
