The dream is going crazy, my body burning up in the midnight sun,
flaming hot.
Paint me all the way to my nails with sweet sweet red jam.
Love me more, naked as I am, til you're disgusted with me.
I don't need anything else, so with this feeling
draw the spiral of our souls
Velvet Moon Show me a face I've never seen
even if its the gaze of a devil.
Velvet Moon The mischief of fate is too cruel.
No matter how many times we make love, our hearts pull apart.
I'm sure you're hearing the bad rumors about me
I'm sorry, but I'm going to run from your kindness.
Always pretending I'm over you, Always hiding it
I don't tell the truth to anyone.
Velvet Moon Even if what we have now becomes a lie,
I won't be afraid of being hurt.
Velvet Moon I won't be addicted to dreams like this
because I know I'll be alone again.
Velvet Moon Show me a face I've never seen
even if its the gaze of a devil.
Velvet Moon Even if what we have now becomes a lie,
I won't be afraid of being hurt.
Velvet Moon I won't be addicted to dreams like this
because I know I'll be alone again.

I liked this poem very much. It made me think of an intense love I once experienced myself.
It came to end, quite a bitter end actually.
Very nice and emotionally deep piece of poetry. |
