Array ( [sid] => 118585 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => For The Love Of Truth [time] => 2006-04-19 02:30:45 [hometext] => “If we divine a discrepancy between a man's words and his character, the whole impression of him becomes broken and painful; he revolts the imagination by his lack of unity, and even the good in him is hardly accepted.” ~Charles Horton [bodytext] => How can you give what you’ve never first received
Ignorance is noway bliss, lest one’s focused to believe
Ancient poets, also prophets, knew patterns of the whole
This age oft’ succumb to madness, no love of truth to console

Why not ask God for Wisdom’s scale, against hell
Why, on God’s green acre, not hunger for the Truth to avail
Why shirt-tail around the whole, shallowness of soul
Who else knows us better, a perfect role-model for a goal

For the Love of Truth, seek out your own discrepancies
Avoid the ‘envy-admiration syndrome’ of back lethargies
Look to a supportive system of valiant ones, to dream
Shun religiosity, with it’s dogmatic sectarian scheme [comments] => 6 [counter] => 222 [topic] => 25 [informant] => Lilly-Quill [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 20 [ratings] => 5 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

What a job you have done her. I really enjoy your newly charged spiritual writings. You have always been spiritual in your poetry, but lately it promotes a passion to place us all in awe.

Great job! God Bless You Milly!

Excellent advice. Sorta echo's my thoughts in "This Modern Age".
