With the sad shades of blue
Would never have had to be
If it weren’t for you

We stood together in the sand
Looking the beauty of the world in the face
I thought nothing could be more grand
Oh, how you’ve ruined this place

I remember so long ago
It was breathtaking to think of you
Never did we grow
Only the sad shades of blue

I would ask you not to leave
To stay for another chance
For I wish not to grieve
Nor to play the heartbreak dance

You said you didn’t need me
And there was nothing I could do
So I sit at the emotional sea
Left alone with the sad shades of blue

pain and sadness and loss of love. We can never change another person and make them the way we want them to be. We just have to let them go. Great job!
