Freestyle

Wonders never cease in this world I know
cause this new form of rap has a pure free flow
I knew little about it till my son honored me
with a freestyle rap done improvisationally
It must take talent to perform this way
to be quick with words and know just what to say
but the lyrics are cleverly insulting for sure
and the one with dishonor is shown the door
he claimed to win some battles from time to time
because he says he has the best rhyme
it was entertaining to listen to his witty verses
and to wonder if that is really the way he converses
he calls me up every once in awhile
and I say just for me do another freestyle

We're so glad you're aboard with us, I don't know much about rap, or your son, but he sounds likes lots of fun!
And judging from your poetry, he didn't lick his talent from the ground...........He has a wonderful Mom that does great poetry around!

A warm welcome to YPDC....This was a wonderful poem. I enjoyed in thoroughly.
I have an idea what this is about cuz my nephew does the same here...and it's always so much fun.

What a creative and healthy way to fight, with such improvisationally of wit~! This broad and bold exercise brings strength of both character and the mind. Although, I sure they take these battle seriously; for the ego is a delicate thing. What an awesome honour it must have been to hear a musing created for you honoured name.

Brilliant story-poem. Personally I love all forms of art which are in the positive vein of flair. Thanks for sharing this.
