Security found, but never lasts
A struggle within, that never goes away
I watch my smile change to a frown day by day
What is it that's missing? I can't figure out
Confidence and anger crossed with sadness and doubt
Do I need to be cold, to fuel my desire
Or do I need warmth to grown, heat the comfortable fire
That keeps me in love with the one that I trust
The one who's come the closest, made the battle armour rust
Am I growing up, or am I losing the edge
That's made the sky the limit, left me on danger's ledge
I feel that Passion's made me grown, as a person and a lover
But I sometimes miss Warfare's wrath, that made people run for cover
Am I ready to settle into a routine
a comfortable niche, settled down and pristine
I wish I knew, which way to turn
That would give me Passion's love
and let me keep Warfare's burn

Torn between the future and the past
Security found, but never lasts
