Every day I notice
In front of me
Special and delicate it is
Always there, this tree

Every fall, every winter
It goes through such trauma
Every fall every winter it does suffer
As it lets winter takes its course on it

Like the nakedness
Of the hungry and poor
It suffers storms and bliss
With out its cloth so warm

Yet there it stands
By its self still
Strong and grand
This tree is my hero

And every spring, every summer
It blooms and radiates
Proud and strong as ever
It stands tall as the prettiest

With flowers of pink
I sit here and watch it start blooming
In the freshness of spring
They start budding

And again, another year
Another barren and desolate land
It has conquered another winter
It has strongly overcome
The snow and the wind
The cold and the distant warmth of the sun
Proudly it spreads forth
Its flowers so unique
Then comes its leaves to stay for
The summer of joy and victory

Never understanding this tree
Never observing it like this before
I realize it has always been with me
Together we’ve survived and made it to each summer
Stronger and more beautiful than before
This tree is my hero, my friend
here to show me true courage in a storm

Out my window it does stand
And from my nakedness and beatings
It gives me courage to get up again
To leave behind me,

Life’s winter storms
And clothe myself so beautiful
From the suns warmth
And proudly show it off to all
For I withstood another storm
Another year another out pour
And I am stronger than ever before
As I breathe in the new flowers of fresh air-
