waiting to wake from it's slumber
slowing revolving to the top
suddenly it comes to a stop

Light shines in upon it
it's eyes are open and there it sits
waiting to be free from it's prison
waiting to make things crimson

The trigger to it's life is pulled
contrary to what it is told
it is only a pawn to it's king
then it's released from it's barrel to sting

It burns the mind upon it's hit
the fuse to pain has been lit
pushing through to see the light again
but there is no more time from which it had began

Falling upon the ground lying still
covered in the crimson of what it had killed
it has no more use in the world
because all it causes is pain and turmoil. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 175 [topic] => 61 [informant] => Dragontear27 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )

I love this, it seems to have a deeper meaning than a first glance would suggest.
