Don't Call

Contributed by Carmen on Saturday, 1st February 2003 @ 10:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

You call me in the middle of the night
And I’m supposed to think thats all right
I ought to feel special because you called me first
In fact I think that makes me feel worse
I’m not your prize
I don’t feel to deal with your lies
Don’t tell her you say
And things can remain this way
Why would I want them too
Put everybody on the line for you
You're not fair to me
You tell me to open my eyes
And the person I visualize
I don’t even recognize
I never did anything like that before
Now you think I’m your whore
It’s not even that
I did you a favour
I let you try out a new flavour
Sugar and spice you know my styles precise
You have impeccable taste
What a waste
Since you’ll lie when faced
You could never be true
It's just not in you
I won’t hold it over your head
But don’t expect to find yourself in my bed
