You say like a bird without a song
(more like a song without a tune)
You say that itŽs tantalising
Something here is wrong
(Under the lure of the moon)
You say like the words with no feel
(more like with no lips to speak)
And the words they fall
To let the concrete heal
(Fingers folding far too weak)

Say yes
Say yes
And weŽll walk away
(weŽll find somewhere else to die)
WeŽll somehow find a way
(Another way to try to try)
If I talk in my sleep, ignore the words
Her name is meaningless
Just say yes

You say like a rose without a scent
(more like petals decayed)
You just crave the feelings
To feel itŽs Heaven sent
(Less to feel betrayed)
You say like broken glass
(more like split at the seams)
You say weŽre moving quickly
WeŽre moving way too fast
(Not everything is as it seems)

Say yes
Say yes
And weŽll walk away (weŽll walk away--
weŽll find somewhere else to die)
WeŽll somehow find a way
(Another way to try to try)
If I talk in my sleep, ignore the words
Her name is meaningless
Just say yes

You say like a book without an end
(more like pages burnt and torn)
You say you hate the way
I call you just a friend
(A rose with no thorns?)
You say like an end with no means
(more like waiting to begin)
You say weŽre see-through
Because weŽre unclean
(How can a love be a sin?)

Say yes
Say yes
And weŽll walk away
(weŽll find somewhere else to die)
WeŽll somehow find a way
(Another way to try to try)
If I talk in my sleep, ignore the words
Her name is meaningless
Just say yes
Say yes
Say yes

And she said...
