How Do I Know

Contributed by dark_fighter_chick on Thursday, 6th April 2006 @ 11:31:53 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

How do I know if this love is real
How can I trust what you say is what you feel
I’ve been hurt too many times before
Cuz I don’t want to feel like that anymore
But the fear that I’m just losing my mind
Like what was in the past should be left behind
I fell for a fake a long time ago
I’m left with scars that I can’t show
To see the scars left on my heart
And now I’m about to restart
Stitch up my heart for someone new
Mixed up between emotions, I don’t know what to do
Do I jump in blindly and forget the past
Pray to the heaves to help it last
Or do I keep one foot out the door
Stay cautious because of before
Do I give him my heart, to get hurt in phoniness
Or do I walk away, to get hurt in loneliness.
I can’t fight a feeling so strong,
But I can’t help to feel that it’s wrong
I’m just so scared that I’ll get hurt again
And I’ll be the one alone in the end.

I enjoyed how this write is easily relatable to. I can tell it is from the bottom of your heart. Nicely done.
