My safe place,
I brace myself and bite my lip,
My vicious heart carved out of stone,
Always weighs what I have got against me and what I have left
It's my cure to growing older
Just so you know, well... you'll never know,
Because some of my secrets weren't meant to be told,
But I can't cover them up, you see right through me,
But back to my progress report:
I am missing you to death,
I didn't want to believe it but now I know I can't deceive it,
Take me away,
I might just hurt somebody,
So please, just take me away right now and give me that feeling in my soul,
That feels brighter than sunshine,
I'm yours and suddenly your mine,
My imagination's much worse,
I just never want you to know how much,
The world in my head is exploded faded and demoted,
All my oxygen, to help me breath, has only suffocated my last chance,
Between my smiles and regrets,
My reception is less than warm,
And the sun burnt out my creative light,
So help me see my way through,
Let's go to sleep together,
Shake me up whenever,
And then wake me up when I start to go down,
Dreaming I'm out in stormy weather,
I rarely practice discern,
As I make love to my beloved sin,
Heal the water and drop my heart,
I am hear to stay. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 192 [topic] => 43 [informant] => evalastingrose [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

As I was reading this I kept seeing song lyrics from a certain band. Fantastic! You should read one of mine: Switzerland's foothold on the illogical battlefield of loyalty.
If you're as much of a fan as this poem seems to indicate you'll get the reference! I loved it.

I think this poem is beautiful. It really makes you value those you love and how they make you feel at home wherever you go.
