So I look into your eyes not knowing what to do.
You are a shoulder to lean on
A knight without his armor.
You ride to my rescue and pull me in your arms.
Holding me so close, your touch is so tender,
But with all the time gone by my heart will still not render.
I know how you feel and I don't know what to say.
God knows I want to love you but my heart gets in the way.

If I keep on waiting your feelings will grow stronger.
Will I feel any different if I wait any longer?
That is the question and the answer eludes.
Knowing my past, "No", I conclude.
But, not knowing the future there is no way to tell
If the love deep inside me will spring up from the well
Where all these years it's waited for you to come along
To shower it with patience and help heal what is wrong.

I enjoyed reading your poems and feel you are a very strong writer who writes with resolute and heartfelt emotion.
