My heart is unburdened my souls been set free,
beautiful dreams returning to me,
I longed for the moment my eyes would not mist,
feeling at last I really exist,

The grass looks much greener, the skys a clear blue,
the smell of spring flowers, the damp smell of dew,
looking forward no longer back,
my demons are gone, no longer attack,

The world is my oyster, now I can see,
there is wonderful things waiting for me,
I now enjoy sunshine, even the rain,
I'll never return to that dark place again.. I can relate to this poem.
When the fog is lifted you are surprised at how the world is a beautiful place.
Well done

I can absolutely relate to this...I had been depressed for awhile and then one night I just totally broke down and prayed to God to take it all away and He did...I mean, sure I still have "those days", but who doesn't? I havn't felt so weightless in a long time :)

I hope things continue to keep getting better for you :)

Thank you for this poem, i like it a lot, feel like I could have written it myself!
