Array ( [sid] => 117394 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Seven [time] => 2006-03-30 18:02:29 [hometext] => This song is about a man who was searching for his true love. He knew the one who would reply would be his one and only. He sent a bottle with a note sailing across the ocean, and he waited for Seven years. One year for each sea [bodytext] => What does the soul whisper to us
When our minds are quietly screaming
I once sent a bottled note sailing away
Silhouetting across a frozen ocean
It sparkled as a golden flame rose in the sky
A letter with a written rose
As fragile as my shivering heart

I know she waits, in some corner of the world
Her beauty would make the poetry leak from me
The virgin tears of happiness I have not cried
But sometimes, the moon will bring subtle joy

And I wait by the shore, caressing the sand
My life feels a certain shadow without a reply
The sun rises, it falls, and the moon is illuminated
Shimmering a pale-blue luminous reflection in the sea
It is a beautiful sight
Embedded in the crystal halls of my memory
But, it would not compare with your eyes

Every morning I rise, and head to the shore
I feed the gulls, and they give me companionship
I wait with a steel will
For love is such a beautiful thing to miss

And each night when the moon shows I cry
The night is here, yet I still long for her
She is the angel that carries me to new days
And when the skyline shows thunder
I pray the winds carry my love to her
She is my lighthouse when all is dark

One night when the sky grew fluorescent to the setting sun
I shouted across the Seven seas
I confessed my love to the crashing waves
And in some miracle a bottle trickled with the tide
It contained a letter, but was illegible
The paper had been wet from a leak
And the ink ran

But there in the corner was an address

Nothing will stop true love from uniting
At times, hope may recede, like the tide pulling back
But, it will always push forward with the strength of Ocean waves
I would go to her, after waiting seven years
And I must say it was worth it
Because I would have waited a lifetime.

"What does the soul whisper to us
