An addiction that had me by the throat.
I couldn't do anything to numb the pain.
So I sat back, in the cold, and I just watched the smoke,
As it grew darker and tore down my imagination.
I watched the bright lights take me to a world, in which I had no clue.
Painless,
I watched the fire as it grew and burned my sins, just like hell would do.
I saw all the secrets in my stomach burst out right through my skin too.
Lying on white sheets staring at unknown people telling me what to do,
I held your hand, and sat there hoping that you could help me make it through.
I saw this man pour out his heart and disposed of my sadness too.
The sky opened up now.
Slowly,
I saw this cloud, that was perfection, aiming for me to fall right through.
Weightless, I felt like I was still awake, inside a dream, turning me blue.
It got rid of heartache and all the ***** ups too.
Drifting with regret of all the things I wanted to, but didn't ever do,
I'll float away, until one day the wind will bring me right to you.
I left a letter and a clue to where, just you, could fine me,
So please do.
I'll talk to you everyday day, just open up your heart and you will hear my words, as if I'm still there.
And I'll touch you,
Hoping you could feel me through your thick sadness.
I'll miss you, but still know, it was the best thing I could ever do.
But it won't be long until a clear sky opens,
Where I can lift you up,
So it could be just me and you.
But then I looked up,
And sat there crying,
Wishing it was true. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 43 [informant] => EvaLastingRose [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )
