Must come down
What once was a smile
Is now a frown

Not in the mood
For much at all
Begging to get up
Faltering to fall
Trying to wake up
From my emotional slumber
Perhaps It'll be fun
To dial that number
The 1-800-Suicide
Just for the heck of it

No real reason why
I'm just so low
Not wanting to smile or cry
Reaction time slowed

Maybe its the mirror
Standing so menacingly
Maybe its the depression
Hits so suprisingly

Just an hour ago
I was happy and smiling
And I just wanna know

What the heck is wong
With me
Am I insaine
And why can't I ever be happy

Perhaps some pills
Or just another call
Will make this go away
Perhaps a 90 story fall
Will make this go away

Music: my only therapist
Has finally quit
Gave me the finger
Slammed the door
I begged for a memory to linger
Yet: there is nothing more

***** you all!!
(slam the car door)
All I wanted was a lousy call
Crack open the window
Turn on the car
No more music
Listen to the Sweet Lullaby
Of Carbon Monoxide

Wonderful wonderful poem. Your title is superior. The sweet lullaby of carbon monoxide---an excellent image. I understand. Stay true, Hautebush

Interesting suicide write. None like the others. But this one still holds the raw need for death and pain. Nice write, I'll keep in mind to reread this later on in life when I'm craving for death.
