[hometext] => I wrote this poem about an ex boyfriend obviously and we met through friends at the EX.
[bodytext] => In the beginning it felt so right, When I first met you, I wanted to be with you, To have you hold me in your arms, But then they told me you had a girlfriend, And I would have to wait. So I did, I waited all summer long, And I daydreamed about you, And I went to sleep with you on my mind, Until high school started for us, And I would get to see you again. When I saw you in the hall, I muttered a small hello, And you replied the same, With a small smile, That made my heart flutter for you once again. Little did I know, That you and here were no more, Until the day I got asked out for the very first time, I still can’t believe that you got your friends to ask me for you, That was so lame, And yet I still said yes. We went out for a little while, And it was awkward the whole time. Why couldn’t you talk to me like everyone else? Was it because you felt you owned me? I was not something you owned, And I proved that to you when we broke up, Which you once again, Got your friends to do for you. I was so angry at you, That I lashed out at you, In so many ways. I called you fat, To your face, Which I had promised myself I would never do, But I did. You don’t know how sorry I am, For the things I’ve said to you, And the things that I didn’t, Do you know that I said these things, Because I was hurt, And do you realize I don’t say these things anymore, When I see you I try to smile, To let you know that I’m not mad anymore, And that I realize that your one of the greatest guys that I know. I don’t know where we went wrong, But if I could go back, I would so that I could remember, What it’s like to be with you. I miss you and we haven’t talked in months. You have a new girl now, And I hate her so much, I don’t know why you love her, She’s such a *****, But I guess I’ll have to wait until she’s gone, To have another chance, If you would give me another chance, Because I still love you, And I always have, And I always will. I have many regrets in my life, And losing you, Is one of them.
