you said it would before you'd gone,
that once again my heart would sing
and you would bless the union's song,

i never believed in your words 'til this night
when love came to me and brought me his light,
of that unidentified face in my endless dreams
my no no never's blew out in the flames
of our yesterdays and no one's to blame,

his love feels so good and genuine, and
to wholy love with this beaten heart again,
i must confess that you were right,
for past when i saw no end in sight,
to pain and misery, loneliness and fear
and talked to you, and knew you'd hear,

the lessons of you and me, you see
'twas meant to be, have been well learned,
two hearts that crashed and burned,
when death took you away,
one dark and foggy rainy day,

so i thank you for the blessings you gave,
before you went on to your grave,
you knew you had to go away
love you said would once again come my way,
my true life's love would find it's way,

so now the fog i spend time in
is love's laughter, heart ever in spring,
it feels wonderful to be warmly contented,
after all these long years my heart is mended.

the day has come that life goes on
you said it would before you'd gone,
that once again my heart would sing
and you would bless the union's song,

i never believed in your words 'til this night

i dont know what to say babe, there is so much feeling in this poem it is almost overwhelming, big hug, big love, holding you in my mind forever.......soul to soul
