With it Comes a Plastic Grin

Contributed by enjoiskating6 on Saturday, 25th March 2006 @ 02:15:31 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Give them a swig of gin,
with it comes a plastic grin,
where are you hiding, your hiding.

Give them a cigarette,
something you wont regret,
until your dieing, your dieing.

Give her a sharpened razor,
no one will know it fazed her,
till shes lieing, shes lieing.

Hand em' another beer,
so where do we go from here,
when we start sighing, were sighing.

Its just a sandwitched peice of relief,
followed by the grief,
of those around you, who wont surround you.

Keep on picking on the hands of time,
laughing as they trail behind,
they'll never make it, but you still fake it.

Save it for another time,
pick it up where you left behind,
in standing water, so just dont bother.

This worlds so over used,
sick and tired of being abused.
by what we make, theres so much at stake.

Feed yourself another drug,
and wash it down with a shrug,
that you just gave me, to ease your craving.

So laugh it up while you can,
your brains in a frying pan,
and you wont flip it, I think ill skip it.

So is this what im headed for?
you left me an open door,
but i wont take it, i like it vacant.

But here i am stuck again,
with a question that will never end,
well are we doomed? I should have assumed...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
