So many years have disappeared
Losing our friendship was what I feared
And times between meetings are oh so long
But I should nave known that it was strong

I waited to see you near the city
Knowing to miss you would be a pity
Searching every approaching face
Looking to fill an empty space

When finally upon me you sneakily crept
I can tell you now, my heart just leapt
Its times like that you know will stay
Locked in memory till your dying day

You looked a picture, nothings changed you
Though life has dealt more than your due
Now I know why God has brought us together
So we can share the good and bad weather

Don’t ever think you are alone
Because through my door is always a home
Where we can both come to laugh and cry
And we’ll stay friends till the bye and bye
