Memories of my little log cabin
A little log cabin back in the woods
I'd love to live there if only I could
The smell of the pine trees down by the brook
A thousand memories written in books
The birch bark canoe down by the lake
The home made bannock that I used to bake
The fresh caught pickerel the blueberry cake
The pickles in the jars the ones that I make
The moose meat pies the beaver tail soup
The hat on my head we called a tuque
The wild berries the dandelion roots
The sound we made with our wooden flute
And the sweet smell silence that fill the night air
Makes we wish that I was still there

This sounds like special memories of a haven of safety, love and security to me. I often think of my grandparents ranch. There was only a well for water, an outhouse, a wood stove for cooking and love everywhere. Fresh meat, fresh vegetables and the best pies and cakes you could ever eat. Special memories I will always cherish.
Lovely write,

It sounds wonderful. I can imagine that it must be very inspiring too, and lovely to stay at in the summer.
I love the images in this. They almost make me jealous. I would love to one day live sopmewhere like that...It must be so peaceful.
Anyway, nice write, I think it could have done without so many 'The's but overall, a nice write.
*hugs*

This is good! You have a good sense of imagery in your poem. I am fond of this one because you bring the reader to your inspired spot with grace and simplicity. |

This sounds so idealistic.
I remember making dandelion coffee from the root it tasted of a** hasten to add I never made it again!
This has reminded me I need to get at one with nature again and make some more wine.
This has made me so nostalgic for the simple life i once had.
