[hometext] => Its a dreary day, hope you enjoy
[bodytext] => Today I watched the clouds roll in, A dreary rain and freeze. It’s made me stop and think again, And retrace old memories. Memories when just a child, Jump in those autumn leaves, Dance and play in a misty rain, With a warm and gentle breeze. Walk along a dusty path, Or chase a lightning bug. Asleep too soon from summer’s warmth, Miss out on mothers hug. We’d work and play and run so fast, Those days so long and bright. We’d walk the woods the fields and streams, Wait on the summer’s moonlit nights. As I sit here now and reminisce, I think how things have changed. Or is it age and time passed by That makes things seem so strange. If I could see through a child’s eyes, Feel and see the things they see. I bet that I would surely find, The only thing that’s changed “Is Me.” Woody McDaniel Copywrite 2006 [comments] => 1 [counter] => 162 [topic] => 31 [informant] => WoodyMc44 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => StoryPoetry )
