I swore no more to feel
To block out all emotions
Never to be real
Allow no other to cause my grief
To trust no man
Was now my belief
I thought I sealed
My foolish heart
But you...
Penetrated the deepest part
I trusted you
With the love I gave
My heart you held captive
I became your slave
A weeping soul
Is what I've become
I see no end to the damage
You've done
From now until forever
A promise I make to me
To never love another
My heart will stay with me
So days of sorrow
Come into view
When I look into your eyes
For the man I once knew
For him
I would have done anything
He set my soul afire
He made my heart sing
Traces of him
I still see in you
But you are hung up
On third person point of view
When the clouds of doubt pass
And clarity breaks through
I hope you will see then
I trusted you

I like this poem for it captures the how all feelings of love and sorrow seem to most be felt in the chest.. the heart if u will...

it's like although the brain is what makes us recognize an emotion... it's some other unseen force in our heart that makes us feel certain emotions.
