tell me
what do you see
I see a black male
standing five foot seven
one hundred fifty five pounds
(give or take a pound)
with black hair in a puff
and he's wearing glasses
...
okay, now look closer
don't think, but tell me what you see
I see a lost child
not scared, just lost
he's confused
mix emotions of love, lust
loneliness, happiness
jealousy and anger run through his mind
he's worried
worried about what he'll turn out to be
if his mother will approve of his decisions
his school work,
if he can achieve what he knows his brothers will achieve
He's worried about his youngest brother
and his safety when he's alone
worried about his eldest brother in college
how many brain cells die when he gets stoned?
I see thoughts about his mother
fury...bliss...a lot of regret
he wonders if her trials will ever end
and when she'll reach that day
i see an altruistic love
trying to find its way
a soldier for the world
reaching for a better day
last in deep confinement
i see a struggle for belief
god...heaven and hell
to which will he end up
Is his life already planned out
does destiny exist
in the case of heaven and hell
does it play role in this?
...
One last time
take a look in the mirror
tell me
what do you see
i see...everyone in the world
overall
a human being. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 152 [topic] => 21 [informant] => worldsenigma [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )
