~~~~~
I was sitting in church this past Sunday
Sing hymns and counting blessings
My usual weeks end routine
Staring at the cross that hung proudly on the wall
I realized that my blessings stemmed way beyond
The usual list I mumbled to myself
I’ve been guilty a time or two
Of not fully recognizing the love of our Father
A love so strong that he would send his own son to die
Being a Father, who knows of no stronger of a love
Then the love he feels for his own son
Made me sit back in my pew in awe
With Easter quickly approaching
And we celebrate Christ’s death and rising
I pray that many others will take a moment to count their blessings
Great encouragement to stop and think about our Saviour's love. Can you imagine knowing your son will die for the world that isn't worth it??? I can't! I would find it very difficult to let my son die that way--yet God did!
