Hair flying wildly around
Her garments torn from war
But no sense of sorrow to be found

Bruised her heart sorely broke
Tattered her memories
But through the storm she strides
For hope of tomorrow she sees

A soul of light she will move
Ahead through darkest night
Not stopping to cry out
And lament her pitiful plight

Hope ever springs eternal
From the depth of her
Others are surprised
For from joy she does not deter

Love for others she bestows
Helping hand extends
Always picking others up
Always making amends

So through the storm she fights
Giving life her all
Taking what destiny offers
Until her final call

This is an enjoyable read--such encouragement to those who would rather give up. May we be like this woman in your poem who will never give up--until her final call--but will continue to lift others up!

WOW!

Linda
