Rejection is a hurt so great and deep,
It makes the blooming flowers mourn and weep,
And the celestial bodies veil their face,
And whirling planets shiver in their space.

Rejection! oh what grievous bitter hurt,
More trenchant as the well honed cutting sword,
A child's rejection - leaves its psyche scarred,
And shrinks the vital powers of its heart.

“You won’t amount too much in life my son”-
Thus spoke a rash and reckless, careless dad,
The broken hearted youngster thereupon
Did hang himself, too late came dad’s regret

And the rejected spouse,- the lasting bruise,
That no one can alleviate heal or sooth,
The wound is deep and biting is the hurt,
To learn another one is much preferred.

Rejection brings with it a mortal chill,
More lethal than the most malignant pill,
It stunts the energies and zest for life,
And stymies faculties and ardor’s drive.

And yet, one did accept rejection drear,
And shed the unseen and the open tear,
He was rejected, cast out, spurned, despised,
Our loving Lord, our Savior, Jesus Christ.

He did accept the taunts, the scorn and spite,
And opened on the cross the arms so wide,
And kept on caring, loving just the same,
Despite rejection’s cruel hurt and shame.

His henchman the Rejected did embrace,
With His forgiving comprehending gaze,
And lo! this loving Lord did not disdain,
The smallest sign to ease and sooth His pain.

He was rejected, cast out, and despised,
Our Blessed Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
Make up for this rejection and console
The loving Lord and Savior of your soul!.

Oh sufferers in Rejection’s grim abyss!
Think of the trenchant words of Genesis*
That tells you child of God that you are great!
Behold that you are in His image made!
Indelibly imprinted on you all
Of boundless Love - Love unconditional.

*Genesis 1;26

How great is our God?
That he gave his only son to die for our sins.
Now that is a love that is unimaginable.

Elizabeth

Oh ! this piece is heart wrenching---and your words-or-mine cannot touch the debth of suffering our God has done for us so that we might be saved.
Never has such Love entered this world, but by the grace of the Father.

"Behold this is My
beloved Son"

Sinned----Thank you

Yes, He did suffer for us out of love and He saved us. He is truly alive and He will see us through our lives for He loves us so. I pray many more will try to understand this great wisdom of power, our Supreme Love. Celebrate each new day, it is our gift. He still is rejected and despised, I pray many will come and live in His name very soon. I do not grieve any more because He has been with me and has brought me through so many things, I respect the celebration, hoping you understand what I do mean, I love Him for doing this for His children. He is a Good God. He is alive.

hugs from your sister in spirit, raquelLeah
