Would your world
Cease to turn
Would you notice
Or would life go on
As if I never
Existed at all
If I loved you
Would you take
Me back again
Or would you turn
Your back on me
Pretend not to notice
If I showed up
Crying at your door
Would you welcome
Me with open arms
Or would you
Never forget all the
Pain I caused.
Would you be able
To start again
Or would you
Leave me
Dying inside
Like I did

Wonderfully captured heartache. We all die a bit when love is denied.

A peice of poetry that trancends reality, a question reflecting hope and hopelessness at the same time. you have a nice style, delicate even when in turmoil of the heart. a lovely and sad write at the same time.

wordplay and brutally honest material

To start again
Or would you

Odd how feelings can change...isn't it...or do they?
Great outpouring, I look forward to reading more of your work.

"If I showed up
Crying at your door
Would you welcome
Me with open arms
Or would you
Never forget all the
Pain I caused.
Would you be able
To start again....?"- I'd always welcome you back! the door never closed... you just have to take that "first" step... so that we can start again....
