i walk away, towards the door.
my path is dark, i don't despair-
anywhere is better than here.
i feel my journey ending now,
i soon will take the final bow

a melodrama, the "depressed teen".

the journey doesn't scare me much-
i long to feel the razor's touch

I know how it is. Being inside a darkness that you can't seem to get out of and always looking for that light to guide you through it all. There is a light out there, sometimes you just have to search for it though. Trust me, I am still looking for mine, but doing that is just saying that you failed. Don't take the easy way out, fight it off and it will get better. "Everything is ok in the end, and if it's not, then it is not the end." I know I don't know you, but please consider my adivce and that of others, you don't want to do that.

this is a good poem. it is well written and shows talent.

it also scares the hell out of me--

You are in pain. no doubt about it. i have felt that pain both as a 'depressed teen' and as an adult. girl, i am here to tell you that there is help and hope for you in this life - - -

get help; please see a doctor
get help

A path can be dark but your eyes adjust with time, Ive been in bad places seemingly with no way out at first I guess i was just stubborn and that got me through, but looking back now things are infinately better, non of us can see the future dont deprive yourself of the light you seek, the path to it may be longer than you think but it will end, seek the light dont give in to the dark its not worth the price.

Lovely poem. I too feel the way you do. It is hard being a teenager but its just hard being a person in general. Just hold your head up and be stronge. There's light at the end of every tunnel.
