I know that you left hours and days ago
Taken in, by a new love who adores you
Treated with love, and the respect you deserve

From no
One
Wait a second
Am I missing something
Jumped to a conclusion
Stuck my foot in my mouth
Before I put shoes on
No rhyme or mystical reason
Just a random feeling
Of actually breathing
Inhaling, fresh air
Mirrors hide behind
Eyes alive with fire
One,
Wishes only to fulfill desires

Your statue is corroded but I highly doubt your care
The pedestal placed below feet of heavy skin
Rising to the occasion on everybody’s whim
Can you feel the sensation climbing inside,

Within
Piles of months
Are days worth years
Time never spent
Wasted in argument
Consent with informed intent
Doing your damage
In every corner you wept
On every dirty bed that you’ve slept
Turn your head
And your neck
To a full panoramic view
Of what was actually meant

Your secrets are out in the open now
I thought you should know
Your constant display of immaturity
Coupled with your perpetual anxiety

Tends to overflow
Provoked
Up in smoke
A cloud of angel dust
Drops erupt
Into pellets of brick
Ten inches thick
Across the measuring stick
In space and time
Tick

Your dreams are so close you can grab their remnants
As they fade you draw closer to their latent myths
Figures of drawings in tress with holes on each side
Stories of violins being played on the windowsill

Yet still
You feel compelled
To inflict your hell
Poison the apple
Snakes tell lies
A leaf for a costume
Ideas rooted in belief
Hummed in a soft tune
Are you relieved
Calmly sedated

Only you, stand in your own way
But let us assume that you knew that

Only you privatize your reality
In quietness
In silence
In darkness
Alone
Far from wrong

You have your heroes, people you respect
You have made your enemies with much regret

Only to pursue warranted justice
You are malicious with unrighteousness
Flagrant and obvious
Transparent
See through
I
Can’t

You were given more then you needed
Yet you took more then your share
Took it to the advantage
Took it without much care
How dare you
You dare
Put it on the table

Let’s compare you to what you want to be know as
Intelligent and prosperous
Immaculate dress
Even from afar
Nothing less
Even from a star
You shine
In someone’s eye

Do or die
Its time to fly
The cliff will glide
From under your feet in stride
Run
As the adage suggests you can’t hide
From the inferno of questions
Burning at you from the insides

Oh crap,

Things, as we see them,
aren't right, and so we -itch and complain..
steadily - on and on..
and when we realize finally
that things aren't half as bad - it's too late.

Our curse-

Sincerely-

Billy

A very deep and moving piece you have here jyss...some very solid lines in here. This is a write that sticks with the reader long after they've left the page.
A couple faves:

Your dreams are so close you can grab their remnants...

AND...

You have your heroes, people you respect
You have made your enemies with much regret
